Healing summer in Norway

I am back from a whole 6 weeks of traveling! I had a few days prior to reaching Norway, in Stockholm and I had the absolute best time! A seperate Swedish midsummer update is coming!) I know I’m well behind on the blog but when life happens sometimes we forget to put it all out there!

It was so wholesome and soul warming to be able to spend all this time with my amazing family. Sometimes you don’t know how much you miss them until you are with them and all their little quirks and habits embeds every minute of your day- and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!

When I arrived it was windy and raining, a good 7c degrees and we had so many days we planned things, we did only cozy things and we had the best quality time. I didn’t bring winter clothes for my trip but luckily we have a stack up of warm clothing at my parents house so I was not cold at all!

And then suddenly the weather changed and we got 30+ degrees for a continuous 10 days straight! And it was just the best summer ever! But a thing that most people don’t realize is that Norwegian houses (some of them / most of them in the north) are not really equipped with AC! So when the sun is up and temperatures hit 30+, it’s hard to cope and cool down. Unless you jump in a glacier river or lake 😂😂 we have a heated jacuzzi at home. I dipped in that. And it was just lovely. Norwegian warm steamy summer just hits different

I also started the summer season work at the hospital while I was at home and it was soooo good to be back and see everyone again. Truly!

And then from here I’m just gonna let the photos speak for themselves!

I had a blast, my heart is filled with love and my batteries are recharged. This is all I wanted from this summer holiday. Family time and space to heal and reset myself again. It’s been a hell of a ride and sometimes getting back to family and your roots is the absolute best thing you can do! Hear hear ❤️ oh and yeah, my baby cousin had a baby and he is sooooo cute.
